Typical mobile office trailer with handicap ramp. |
If you are going to use a mobile office or modular building for short or long term use consider these tips before you schedule delivery.
Tips for choosing a location for your mobile/modular space:
1. Is the space you are considering for the trailer level and easily accessible for delivery of the trailer and customers or employees?
2. If the public is going to have access to the office trailer you will need a handicap access ramp in most cases. If so, be sure to select a location on your property that will allow enough room for the ramp, steps and landing (see photo above).
3. Where are the closest utilities and bathrooms. Unless you are going to use temporary power like a generator or a portable bathroom you will need to connect to the site's utilities. Be sure you consider the location of those utilities in relation to where your mobile office will be installed and calculate the costs. Utility connections can be costly. Also make sure bathrooms are near by if you don't have any in the trailer you buy or rent.
4. Permits, permits, permits! Check with your local building and safety department first and be sure you can legally place a temporary trailer or modular building on your property.

If you are looking for prices from local suppliers try this Price Request Web Page Form. It's about the best way to get the lowest rental rate or purchase price on a trailer that I've seen.
Happy planning.
